ElecoFloor 36 is a medium weight overlay board designed for concrete and timber floors. It will reduce both impact and airborne noise pollution and come in T+G jointed boards 2.4m x 0.6m x 36mm. EcoFloor 36 is particularly suited for kitchens and bathrooms. Isolation tape should always be used around the perimeter.
Eleco 36 is a Acoustic Floor system, comprising Chipboard and MDF composite bonded board with a resilient central layer and a Resilient Felt Backing, it is largely designed for use on Timber floor constructions to help improve Impact and Airborne Noise, it could also be used in conjunction with a Resilient Ceiling system and other products to comply with Approved Document E on flat conversions although professional guidance should be sought before purchasing. A perimeter isolation strip, should also be placed around the room edge to ensure that the Acoustic floor does not come in contact with Skirting boards or door frames.
The sheets come in 2.4m x 0.6m sheets and can be easily cut with a jigsaw, the boards should be glued together and laid with staggered joints. Mass of these mats is around 20kg/m2.
