They comprise two layers of moisture-resistant chipboard separated by visco-elastic sound-damping strips with an acoustic felt on the underside.
Reduc Foundation 35 and 39 are 35mm and 39mm respectively to suit up to 450mm or 600mm joist centres. They are designed to damp vibration and attenuate airborne sound and impact noise passing through floors.
Whether installed as a structural or overlay floor on existing timber or concrete floors, they exceed new build and conversion requirements of the Building Regulations. Acoustic performance can be further enhanced by incorporating SoundBreaker Bars to de-couple the ceiling below.
