Sound Floor Plus comprises of an upper face of tongue and groove dense cement particle board with a high density mineral fibre slab on the underside. It is 48mm thick and is particularly effective at damping low frequency sound from recording studios, music and rehearsal rooms. When installed over an existing timber or concrete floor it exceeds new build and conversion requirements of the Building Regulations. Acoustic performance can be further enhanced by incorporating SoundBreaker Bars to de-couple the ceiling below.
