Sound Slab is manufactured using a non-combustible rock fibre with a high performance binder, and is designed to improve the acoustic performance of partition walls, separating floors and ceilings by reducing sound transmission through the structure. One of the primary uses of Sound Slab is in refurbishment and conversion of existing buildings into flats and apartments and in new build projects. It’s extremely popular amongst local authorities, housing associations, private house builders, commercial developers and individuals simply seeking to improve the acoustic performance of their own homes. Sound Slab can assist in compliance with Building Regulations Approved Document E when used in conjunction with Reduc and SoundFloor acoustic flooring products and SoundBreaker Bars.
