JCW Impactalay Plus is a form of high quality acoustic matting designed to easily combat both airborne and impact noise. Offering a cost-effective solution, it can be easily installed onto concrete and timber floors and is suitable for all floor finishes, including carpets, laminate and vinyl flooring.

Impactalay Plus is manufactured using two acoustic layers of 2.5mm polymeric mass barrier mat combined with a reconstituted resilient 10mm chip foam core that doesn’t harden or crumble unlike the ‘Class O’ foam found in similar products.

Description
Impactalay Plus is perfect for insulation in spaces wherever height is restricted. It’s also very flexible: it can be easily cut and shaped with a Stanley knife or jigsaw to suit the shape of the floor.
It can be laid with simple taped joints, however for greater acoustic insulation it is recommended that the mats are laid butt edge to butt edge and fully bonded to secure in place.
Impactalay Plus is designed to reduce airborne and impact noise when used on timber floors. Additionally, when used on concrete floors it works to reduce impact noise. When overlaid with T+G chipboard they could also be used under engineered wood floors.
Sound Solution Consultants do not recommend this product for reducing airborne noise when used on concrete floor constructions.
