Acoustic tape is an essential tool in ensuring noise protection and isolation. Designed to reduce sound transfer by isolating partitioning and party walls in all forms of construction, it plays a key part in practically any project, helping to prevent ‘flanking’ noise moving from the flooring to the walls.

The tape should be fitted around the perimeter of acoustic flooring, ensuring the skirting board does not come into contact with the acoustic board or wood floor finish, which could create ‘flanking’ routes for sound to travel along and significantly reduce the effectiveness of your installation.
