JCW Acoustic Deck 37 is an exceptionally robust and slim acoustic overlay board that combines a cement particle board with a resilient acoustic layer designed to help minimise sound movement through timber floors.

The Acoustic Deck 37 is designed specifically to fit directly onto the joist once the existing floor has been removed. The JCW Acoustic Deck 37 has been tested and is certified to provide the necessary acoustic insulation required to comply with part E of the building regulations when used with an appropriate ceiling system.

Description

Boards should be glued together and laid brickwork fashion with staggered joints, a perimeter foam edge strip should be fitted around the edge of each room and across the door threshold. The edge foam should then be folded down onto the acoustic flooring with the skirting board then sitting on the edge foam.

Flanking Transmission:

Acoustic noise can sometimes leak through adjacent walls and ducts, in a phenomenon known as flanking transmission. This product combined with Acoustic Tape (a flexible polyethylene seal) can help to cut this down.
