Monarfloor Deck 22
Monarfloor Deck 22 is a high-quality acoustic overlay system designed to reduce sound transmission through existing timber floors in any situations where a heavy domestic application is anticipated.
The Deck 22 makes use of a composite tongue and drove flooring system that combines an 8mm layer of LRAC foam bonded using a high-performance water-based adhesive to 22mm moisture V313 P5 chipboard.
Monarfloor Deck 22 may be used over 18mm chipboard, OSB board of a decking ply sub floor. When used as a part of a complete sound reduction system, it will enable a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations found in Part E.
- Size: 2.4m x 600mm

Boards should be glued together and laid brickwork fashion with staggered joints, a perimeter foam edge strip should be fitted around the edge of each room and across the door threshold. The edge foam should then be folded down on to the acoustic flooring with the skirting board then sitting on the edge foam.
The acoustic performance of a floor can be compromised by sound moving through adjacent walls. This movement – known as flanking transmission – can be combatted through the use of Acoustic Tape, a flexible polyethylene strip designed to seal such gaps.
